The marketing portal of DVAG was intended to generate personalized advertising materials – from printed documents to digital social media assets. For this, numerous master data had to be reliably available: name, office location, certifications, sales company, addresses, and above all, the current portrait photos of the financial advisors. Before the project, this information was stored in various systems, sometimes with different structures and quality levels. Manual exports would have been neither scalable nor error-free.
The middleware developed by Cyber-Solutions unites all relevant data sources in a consistent process. It accesses the financial advisor data via the master data interface and combines it with image material from the DVAG Media Library. All data is validated, harmonized, and then transferred to the marketing portal. Complex reconciliations ensure that only complete and consistent data is processed. One example is the validation of portrait photos using hash values. This reliably detects whether an image has changed and if a resynchronization is necessary.
